Example 1 I play Noelle
Bryan, being the insomniac he was because of his drug habit was up early that morning. Having gotten almost all of the things he needed to do done before noon, he figured he would go out for some lunch. Before he left he shot up. The once independent Bryan was now dependent on a drug, and it had gotten worse than ever. Needles were thrown in the trash from ones he had used already. A once snorter had now become a shooter, though it was only recent his arms were already marked up. As he threw on his hoodie after the initial high went away he headed out the door. Walking down the street to a deli.
Noelle had only been in Salem for a few days now and she realized that her face was more recognizable than she previously thought. She took a window set at the local deli shop to grab a coffee and relax a little bit before heading photographer gig. She had went from being on covers of nation wide magazines to now being behind the camera but she couldn’t complain. Being in this place was better than being under the watchful eyes of her parents and sinister grandmother who still had secrets about her family that she could take with her to her gave.
: Bryan with his hands shoved in his pocket walked thru the door that someone had just opened to walk out. Not paying attention to his surroundings he hadn't even noticed the woman, or the fact that he knew her as he walked up to the front. "Can I just get a ham sandwich?" His voice echoed thru the small deli, a few people scattered here and there as he handed his credit card to the lady behind the deli to pay for his food.
Noelle would have known that voice from anywhere. It was the voice that use to talk her ear off till 2am and the voice that would sometimes yell at her for being a royal pain in the ass. She looked up at him and the all too familiar voice match perfectly with the face. It was Bryan. He looked the same only his hair was neatly shaved but the intensity in his eyes which drew her to him in the first place were still very much there. Noelle looked away as their eyes met. Perhaps a while of him not seeing her would scatter his memory.
Bryan has seen her as his heart raced, he remembered her, and as if having to see her on the magazines wasn't hard enough, there she was in plain view. Grabbing his sandwich he was going to eat there but decided against it. He had forgiven her for breaking his heart, but it still hurt to look at her. Walking towards the door he let out a soft spoken voice. "Hi Noelle" He wanted her to know he saw her, and he remembered her. But he wasn't going to stick around, if she wanted to say anything she could find him as he opened the door walking out.
"Hi Noelle?" She thought to herself. Was that the best he could do after being gone from her life for so long. Was he still mad at her? Noelle was a spoiled bitch who took him for granted but she was also young back then. A simple hello wasn’t going to satisfy her in any shape or form. She left her half empty cup of coffee on the table and headed out after him. " Bryan!" She yelled at him not caring who heard her. If she was going to get the reputation of being the town psycho then so be it. She needed some answers from him and wasn’t going to let up until she got it.
Clutching the bag that held his lunch in his hand he turned around looking over at her. "What?" It came out a little bitter, but not intended as he watched her approach. He wasn't mad at her any longer, all Bryan wanted to see was that she was happy, and to a point Bryan blamed himself, thinking that a relationship couldn't happen as long as he was a junkie. He was still hurt from it, and finally when he felt that he was moving on, he was beginning to like someone else, what was the coincidence his ex popped up into town.
She caught her breath as she approached him. "What are you doing here?" She asked as the wind blew her hair in several directions. He didn’t owe her any explanation. In fact he didn’t even have to acknowledge her existence but the odds of him being in front of her right here and now in this moment were about a billion to one.
"I live here" He kept it pretty short and sweet. Most folks would ask the same to the other person, but most folks didn't have the same relationship as Noelle and Bryan had at one time. And even if it was back in college, college wasn't that long ago for Bryan.
"You what?" She said as if she didn't understand the English language. Was he following her? Noelle didn’t want to flatter herself but she couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that Bryan just happened to be in the very same town she just moved to.
I'm not repeating myself, you heard me Noelle" He sighed rubbing his head as he looked at the grown. "Do you need something?" He asked as he looked back at her, into her eyes as he normally always did, he wasn't one to check out woman, in fact most woman he ran into the first thing that attract Bryan were their eyes and facial features.
"How have you been?" Was all she could come up with. It wasn't that she didn't care she did way too much and from what she saw on his face he seemed to be in the same shape she left him in years ago.
Looking over at her, his eyes were dilated, to the normal it would seem unusual, but because Noelle knew his past, she would be able to tell that he was still using by just that alone. The only time she ever saw him that way was when he was using, it became a symbol of knowing when to back off if he was agitated during his drug use there was no stopping it compared to when he wasn't on it. "I've been okay" Which in truth, he had been he was still hurt but he was moving on, the fact that he moved from Boston here to help his relationship with his mom was proof.
Noelle signed. He knew better then to lie to her she could always tell even now. "You don't have to pretend with me." She said reaching out to touch his arm.
"I am fine" he said tensing up as he pulled his arm away. "I've moved on Noelle" He stated looking over at her. He didn't need her pity on the fact he was still addicted to cocaine, or the fact that he was now dependent on the drug. Part of him wanted help, but another part of him didn't want help from her, he wasn't going to leave himself open again with her. He had learned his lesson.
Her heart went into the pit of her stomach as he pulled away from her "This isn't about what we use to be. I still care about you. You know that right?"
He smirked, as if that comment was amusing. "You care so much for me that you cheated on me" He paused for a moment as sarcasm came out of his mouth. "Right....I see how you still care" He started to walk down the street again heading towards his place. Part of the reason was he was hungry, another was cause he knew he would need his drug in the next half hour.
"Will you ever forgive me?!?!" She yelled loud enough for him to hear and others as well. To avoid a full blown panic attack she let him walk away if he wanted to hate her forever that was his deal all she could do now was try her best to stay out of his way but it wasn't going to be easy in a place this small.
He stopped dropping his head as he sighed. "I have forgiven you Noelle" He looked behind him over at her. "But just cause I have forgiven you doesn't mean it hurts to still see you." He turned his head facing in front of him so she couldn't see as he lifted his hand wiping a tear away before it even fell so there would be no trace of it. Part of him still loved her, but he needed to move on and he was trying to.
"Don’t you think I realized what I did to you? To us? If I could take back what I did believe me I would." She shouldn’t say anymore she didn’t wanted to turn into a big cry baby in the middle of the street and for the locals to see and gossip about during their hours in the beauty salons and barber shops.
Bryan had fallen, sliding down the wall into a sitting position, dropping his lunch next to him as he held his head in his hands staring at the ground. "Why" He muttered softly, he had relaxed a little, letting his emotions get a hold of him. He didn't want to look at the woman, but at the same time he had so many questions he wanted answered. "It's my fault isn't it? With my problem" He muttered, he didn't say what the problem was knowing Noelle would understand he was talking about his drug without actually saying it in the public.
Noelle breathed heavy as she sat next to him. "Partly." She answered. "I had my own thing going on back then with me and my family. There’s a lot I didn’t tell you because I though you wouldn’t understand and he did." She didn’t say his name in fear that it would just enrage him.
"You can't say I wouldn't understand when you never tried." He placed his knees into his chest wrapping his arms around them as he hugged them in staring at the park across the street. He didn't want to look at her, he was afraid he wouldn't control his emotions if he did. Once he composed himself he stood back up. "And if what I did is one of the issues than we shouldn't even bother talking since I do it still" He stated looking down at her. "I need to get home" He stated, which to her would have meant that he needed to dope up once more as he bent over to grab his lunch that was next to Noelle.
She stood to face him. "Even if I told you everything you wouldn't believe me and trust me if your problem was all that it was thing wouldn't have ended for us the way that they did." His problem alone would have been easy to deal with but Noelle had so many other things going on it was bound to end badly.
Picking up his lunch. "You could have at least tried" He stated softly as part of him leaned in kissing her softly on the cheek, it showed that he still cared. That there was a part of him that still cared for her as he started to walk into his building, the same one they were leaning up against.
"No, I couldn't" She said softly to herself as he disappeared. Noelle grabbed her keys from her purse and headed back to her parked car near the deli. Life in Salem was suppose to be a nice one with a little drama as possible but now here it was practically living next door.
---
Bryan had been sitting on the porch, Raina peering out to check on him every once and a while, listening for him as she was in the house. His hand shaky as he smoked a cigarette. He had been detoxing for the past few days, Raina and Finn helping him out and for the first time in a couple days he was able to breathe natures air. Though he was still shaking he was much better than the past few days as he sat in jeans and a white shirt just staring out across the street from the house. For once his eyes weren't dilated and his bright blues could be seen for a change. It had been years since the last time that was the case. Still needing to have something in his hands he at least still had cigarette.
Noelle had been driving all over town for the last few hours now. She had just rapped up a photo shoot with some local models before picking up a bottle of wine. She drove past a few trees and houses before she spotted his face. He was sitting on the porch and from the looks of it he seemed to be sober. Noelle pulled into the drive way and got out of the car. He wasn't expecting her to just show up but she was shocked to see him just sitting there when it was nearly dark outside. " I take it you live here." She said walking closer towards him.
Bringing a shaky hand to his mouth he hadn't even noticed the car pull in to the driveway that night. He hadn't even snapped out of his day dream until she had started talking looking up at the girl he was bear foot as his feet rested on the cement steps. Exhaling some smoke he shook his head slightly, his voice extremely hoarse from the past two days of coughing up dry heaves after a while. "For Now" he stated as he slid over leaving space for her to sit down.
Noelle smiled, "You look better. I take it you haven't been using lately." She choice her words carefully in fear of sounding like his mother. Noelle took a seat next to him even though it was a little chilly outside.
"I told you I'm trying" He stated looking at the ground referring to her comment she made on her blog he had read. He was still worried if he would make it thru, he had been thru this before and had always failed. The urge was greater than his desire to quit, time and time again.
"I'm really glad." She said. "Aside from that how is everything else?" Noelle made sure to quickly change the subject. Too much talk of Byran trying to get clean may just end up in a fight that she didn't want to go through right now.
"There isn't much that is going on other than that" He said softly, moving wincing slightly as he rubbed his side from the bruises, he had bruises on his face as well from the fight him and Finn had gotten in the day before. Finn trying to stop him from leaving ended in Bryan passed out from a fight, it was for his own good and he had been still dealing with the consequences.
Noelle noticed that his face was pretty bad off and hopefully he had just got so high to the point where he fell down the stairs. "I suppose you tripped over your feet." She pointed at the bruises on his face as she made a joke that was probably not very funny at all.
"If falling over my feet means it meets another mans fists than yes" He said looking out over the street as a few cars passed by. "How are you?" He asked changing the subject.
She decided not to push the issue any more than she already has. "Good. I've been working around town the last few days."
He nodded taking another shaky drag as he tapped some ashes onto the ground looking over at the woman that was there, his bright blues shining under the moon light. "You look really good" He stated softly, not in a flirtatious way just in general.
"Thank you." She said. Byran said like in the same tone just like it was old times. Before she made mistakes, lied, and the two of them were in love. The way he said it brought back all those old memories that she tried to forget many times but never managed to. Noelle let out a deep breath before standing up. "I should probably get going. It's getting late."
He watched her standing up nodding lightly. "Well you know where I'm at now" It was the reason he hadn't been seen around the last few days by anyone. Having been trapped in a basement with a werewolf and vampire.
"I won't be a stranger." She meant that very much. Hopefully she would be home in time to change and go for a quick hunt. If time was on her side she'd be back before 1am. "Give me a call if you get a chance.
He nodded as he stood up putting out his cigarette and walking back inside, it was good to see her but he wasn't sure what would happen with that relationship.

Example 2
Kira sat by the window at Starbucks. She was going to need all the energy she could get because she was doing a double shift at work this week. She started out the window just as it was about to rain. "Great" She said to herself she didn't bring a jacket or anything so she would have to work with whatever she had. Lucky she had the latest issue of Allure in her tote back. Good enough she though. She took another sip of her latte' when She felt someone's eyes starting at her. She looked around the cafe' but didn't see anyone that caught her eye. Yet the feeling didn't go away.
Casper was sitting across the street ontop of a car that was abandoned as his eyes stayed glued on Kira, and his clothes were torn and his hair was soaking wet. He sucked in his bottom lip somewhat, as his eyes blinked somewhat. Sliding off the car, he made his way across the street and towards the starbucks as he jumped when a car went zooming by him. "It can't rain all the time." He mumbled by her ear, once he was close enough before he slipped into the coffee shop to see if he could get anything for free. "Excuse me, can I have a cup of hot water."
Kira looked over to her right to see a man who was soaked from the rain. This was possibly a good thing since she now knew her magazine would be much good to her. She looked at him as if she had seen him before. Kira tried no to read to much into it. This was New York after all and over time every one started to blend in together. She turned away she their eyes met. Kira couldn't help but blush he was attractive after all
Casper was ignored as he ran his hand over his face abit, lowering his head somewhat as he batted his eyelashes somewhat, looking over to a bulletin post who had an old group picture of his band as it had a rip marking over it. Looking back over to Kira, he bit his bottom lip hard before he shook his head a bit. "This City will never fucking change." Casper mumbled, leaving the coffee shop and made his way back outside. "Do you know of anyone who has extra food or anything?" He asked Kira, before rubbing his eyes somewhat.
Kira was shocked. This man looked too well together and too good looking to be asking for spare cash. "I can get you something if you'd like." She said pulling out her wallet. This wasn't normal for her but she couldn't say no even if she wanted to and had no cash on her. "There's a burgar place not far from here."
Casper blinked as he looked at her closely, hearing the crow in a distance and a memory flashed through his mind as he gripped on the table somewhat. "You... you look so familiar." He whispered, trying to re-gain himself as everything looked blurry. "Did you know Shelly?" He asked in a whisper, and then looked down to the ground.
Kira shook her head. "There's a lot of Shelly's in this city" she said as they turned the corner towards the take out place The rain and eased up a bit which was a good think. Kira didn't want to catch a cold with a busy work week ahead of her. "Who's Shelly? Is she your sister?"
Casper shook his head somewhat, as he let his hair get soaked from the rain and all the dirt slide off him. "I'm sure you'll remember this one.." He mumbled, before walking behind her slowly. "Shelly was my finance... she was murdered." Casper spoke, as he ran his hand over his face somewhat. "So was I." Confused on why he was brought back and Shelly wasn't, he needed to seek revenge.
Kira was a bit confused. "Okay I think once you get some food in you, you'll be okay" She said. He had to be in shock or something to be talking this way there was no other reason. They entered the restaurant and took a seat in one of the booths.
Casper sucked in his bottom lip hard, as he blinked a few times before he sat in the booth and looked over the menu. "Your daddy thinks he owns the city, that he can do whatever he wants to innocent people and not get fucking caught for it, and his people can do whatever he says. They're all wrong, and I'll show them."
For the first time since she has been around him Kira grew a little worried rather than feeling sorry for him. "What do you know about my father?" She asked, which was a stupid questions. Half the people in NYC knew who he was even if she wanted to try and keep it a secret.
Example 3
ME: Kate did a little channel surfing. Nothing was on. She was about two seconds away from throwing her television out the window. She had been on cloud nine all day from Dash's talk of marriage. Which did cross her mind she just didn't think he would feel the same way and this soon. Usually she'd call Jacob but his current date with Emily turned her off a bit. She couldn't stand him running women as if he was test driving cars. Grabbing her keys she decided to take a walk. Wearing blue jeans and a brown American Eagle tank top she began walking the streets.
THEM: Vincent was lurking, which was what Vincent liked to do. He was dressed in his typical black pants and a black shirt, jacket and tie. It just added to the whole blending into the dark, not like he needed much help. He lived the night, had for almost 900 years so he knew how to stay virtually invisible. He hadn't seen many people around and was feeling quite bored when he heard Kate. Slipping back into the shadows he waited, watching her.
ME: The end of summer also meant the end of large crowds roaming around with cheap beer and cigarettes in their hand. Checking her cell phone she had an odd feeling. As if she was being watched. Kate wasn't scared she saw her father turn into a werewolf for God's sake so it didn't take much to make her jump. Placing her phone back into her back she continued walking while occasionally looking over her shoulder.
THEM: Vincent smield to himself as he saw her look over her shoulder. He was often amused when people got slightly paranoid. He followed her for a little while before deciding he was bored by that. He slipped up behind her, withing a step of her before speaking. "Good evening." He refrained from using the Dracula accent that he liked to use on people.
caron kate: Kate was taken back. Not scared. "hi" she said in a awkward tone. He's probably a user and wants some cash she thought to herself. He was skinny, pale and looked the type. She also knew he could be a vampire but she would rather take her chances with him being a junkie at this point.
THEM: Vincent fell into step beside her , his hands shoved deep into his pockets. "It's not very often a beautiful woman walks around alone a night unaccompanied." He smiled slightly. "Granted this generation women have become tougher than a lot of men."
ME : Tougher than men? She couldn't argue with that. "Everyone needs to get way sometimes" She said. Hell, maybe she needed the company after all.
THEM: "Ah, spoken like someone who is trying to escape." He nodded. "Something you want to speak to a stranger about or better left unsaid?" He kept his tone interested but not too probing as he just go the feel for her, curious as to who, or what she might be. caron kate: "You'd be here all day" No really he would. Her long drawn out life would take about a few hour and a couple of shots of whiskey.
THEM: He chuckled. "That bad huh? How about the abridged version? Or should I just buy you a drink."
ME : "Both" she smiled. as they made there way to one of the near by bars.
THEM: "Always a good combination." As they made their way over he held the door for her beofre following her inside. "I'm Vincent, by the way."
ME: "Kate" she said as they sat at the bar.A game was on. She didn't know which one. Sports weren't really her thing. Ordering shots she checked her cell again for any messages. 1,probably from Carly or Dasch.
THEM: Vincent ordered a red wine as it was one of the few things he would consume and coffee didn't exactly fit a bar. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and offered her one before pulling out a lighter. "Pleasure to meet you."
ME: "Likewise I'm sure…so where do I begin?" she said taking a shot. She drank last night and really didn't want to drink again but whatever she was stressed .
Example 4
ME: Kate sat at the bar ordering another glass of red wine while smoking a cigarette. She was stressed. From not seeing Dasch to working like a slave she felt as though she was about to pass out. Dressed in a denim skirt, baby pink tank top, and wedge sandals on her feet she noticed on the bartenders looking at her. She was lonely but not that lonely. Her eyes scanned the room full of people who where dressed in business clothes and who obviously just got off from work. She let out a sigh as her glass was handed to her.
THEM: Nathan had finished working and it was too early to go wander the streets and he didn't want to go back to his rented room. There was something depressing about being there. He made his way to the nearest bar he could find and went inside. He looked around for a moment before deciding to head for the bar. He sat down and ordered a beer. "Are people always dressed like that here?" He asked curiously, not looking at the person next to him.
ME : Kate was somewhat relieved to see someone around her age show up. She was starting to fell a little out of place. She replied "For the most part. I just come here because the wine is good but it's cheap".
THEM: "Cheap is good. I can't afford much more than that." He turned to look at her and smiled. "Makes it easier to get drunk if needed."
ME She smiled back "That's true…I've never seen you around before" Her third glass of wine was kicking and she was feeling relaxed. Good. It's what she needed.
THEM: He took a swallow of his beer and nodded a little. "I'm new in town. Nathan." He took another sip because he did like a good beer after serving coffee all day.
ME : "I'm Kate." She should have known. You can pretty much tell who was the new blood in the city. "You here on business?" she asked. From what she could tell so far he was human but give him a few more hours she could be wrong.
THEM: He shook his head and took another sip of his beer. "No, I'm here for a while. Not sure how long though." He looked at her curiously. "Do I look like someone who is here on business?" he asked with a smirk.
ME : "You never can tell around here people have many disguises" She took another sip of her wine realizing she was fascinated by him. Maybe it was because he was new in the city or perhaps it was the alcohol talking.
THEM: He shrugged a little and ran his fingers through his hair slowly. "Well I'm only me. No disguises. They require too much effort." He finished his beer and ordered another one, feeling very thirsty for some reasons.
ME : Human. She thought to herself. Anything else would have made a sly remark. She felt save and was glad she didn't ended up having a run in with a werewolf or whatever else ran the streets. "That's good. I was starting to think no one like that lived here."
THEM: He laughed softly and shrugged. He looked at her curiously, wondering what she had meant by that exactly. He shrugged a little. "What about you? Are you who you look like? Or do you have a disguise?"
ME : Suddenly Kate didn't know how to answer. Was being a witch a disguise? Hell, it's not like she had a horn coming out of her forehead or anything she just played around with some magic. "No. what you see is what you get."
THEM: He nodded and turned to face her, holding his beer against his knee. "That's good to hear. So many people pretend to be someone they're not." He could think of a few but he wasn't about to go into that with someone he hardly knew.
ME : "Try to watch out for the locals sometimes people aren't who they appear to be" She warned. Hoping he would take it to heart and not assume she was joking.
THEM: "Oh I'm aware." he said with a smile. "Don't worry." He'd already ran into a vampire although it had been an interesting meeting.
ME: Kate checked her phone. She has some text messages from Dasch and planned to meet him at 9:30. He must have gotten what she said he couldn't be that stupid. "Good. I'm glad" she smiled "I should get going" she said pulling out a five dollar bill from her purse. "I'll see you around?"
THEM: He nodded at her and smiled. "yeah. I'm sure we'll run into each other again soon. Take care."
ME : "You too"She said giving him a quick stare before walking out of the bar.
First Person Example
It's dark right now and it's going to storm like crazy. I know I should be typing this due to the fact I read somewhere that you can get electrocuted when using the internet during the storm. I did mange to get the photos of Gabe (Gabriel) back. He is very photogenic. I told Chris about it last night and he was upset. This wasn't a jealous thing but he seemed more concerned than anything. He told me to stay away from him. He didn't really give me a good reason. He only said that he wasn't the type of guy I should be friends with, whatever that means. I don't get it. I know he has a history with Chris. I think they knew each other back in High School but never really ran with the same social circle. They did a few hip-hop dance battles a few years ago but that's really about he. He said he wouldn't call him a friend. Gabe told him he found my number through the company I work under. It just happened to be a coincidence it was me. Amway he make up sex last night was wonderful if you can even call it that because we weren't fighting. But yes Chris is great every time. I don't know if he'll stop by tonight. He's seemed to have taken a liking to the balcony in my bedroom. I wake up in the middle of the night with him eying it for some reason. Are we moving too fast? We have spent almost everyday together since we've met and I haven't been in a relationship in a year and a half. I can't help it if I've found someone I've connected with. It has been a long time coming I guess. This rain is much needed but I hope it doesn't fuck up my weekend. I'm sure I'll be spending it with Chris just like last weekend. I need to see when Gabe wants his photos. He never told me what the head shots were for. I guess modeling since he is attractive enough to model It think. I wonder where Chris is?? I'm only continuing to type because I'm fucking bored. I don't want to go out into the city right now and battle the rain. Hopefully I'll update here again later tonight.
